Small Biz Networking Group to Feature Trailblazing Entrepreneur

FLEMINGTON, NJ – Anne Thorton will be the guest speaker at the next Small Biz Networking Meetup.

The meetup is held on the third Tuesday of each month from noon to 2 p.m. at Al Fresco’s restaurant, which is located at the Shoppes here across from Home Goods. The cost is $18 and includes lunch.

Thorton knows first-hand that being knowledgeable, prepared and proactive can make a huge difference in both the severity of a problem and the cost to repair that problem. She is the founder and president of MSI Plumbing & Remodeling, one of the state’s few woman-owned plumbing and remodeling companies.

In more than 25 years in business, Thorton has grown her company to a multi-million dollar operation providing building repairs, remodeling and licensed plumbing services to residential and commercial properties throughout central New Jersey.

She has been honored as one of New Jersey’s Top 25 Leading Women Entrepreneurs; she is a SmartCEO Brava Award recipient, and recently received the first ever Catalyst Award from the Women’s Business Forum of the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce.  

The Small Biz Networking Meetup was founded more than nine 9 years ago by Julie Parker. It has more than 400 members and promotes networking with other local business owners and helps acquire new business and referrals.  

The group also provide a large resource table with business cards and flyers and product displays for the members.
