(Reuters) – British Prime Minister Theresa May is preparing to delay the second vote on her Brexit deal until the end of February, the Telegraph newspaper reported late on Wednesday.

The prime minister’s chief whip Julian Smith indicated in the cabinet on Tuesday that the vote will not be held next week as May is not expected to have renegotiated her deal in time, the report said.

Britain is due to leave the European Union on March 29. Lawmakers voted on Jan. 29 to demand May seek changes to Britain’s exit treaty.
